kalahasti yatre contd ...

Standing in queue for the darshanam is one of the most headache thing.Sometimes,we needn't walk also, the persons standing behind you simply push you. That too, when you are nearer to lord venkateshwara, thats horrible thing. If aged persons are there in queue, its difficult for them to move. But the most saddest thing is when you are just in front of lord, you will get only few seconds t view the lord,Temple people will push you back.
After the darshanam in tirupati,we came outside and took the famous laddu prasadam.Since we took SHEEGHRA DARSHANA  ticket we got 2 laddus for one ticket. From outside we saw the temple once and came to the lodge where we stayed.
After the lunch in lodge,we left tirupati. This time we were coming down from the hills. We got opportunity to see the intermediate temples before we cross 7 hills.First was the papawinashini-which is callled so because of the holy water coming from the river. This is located abt 40 min 4m TT temple.
Within the 5 min range we saw akashagange. We saw one open Venogopala swamy statue just near the akashagange.
You will see one deer sanitary when you are on the way 2 tirupati, you can see a plenty of deers located in a place looking for the food.A big anjaneyaswamy temple is also there near to this.
The top of the mountain is called TIRUMALA and the complete bottom is called TIRUPATI.So our journey is tirupati to tirumala and the reverse. All the buses which takes the passengers for temple will have  this board itself,i.e,tirupati-tirumala.
Next we came to govindarajapattna where we saw govindrayaswamy, andalamma devi and lakshmi ammanvr. To see the Padmavathi amma's temple was our next aim which we saw hurry burily. We had to wait a long if we were 5 minit late also.So we thought that we were very lucky, otherwise we could have missed the chance to see the Padmavathi amma, which is a very gud, calm and pleasant statue. In the same temple you can see parthasarathi(krishna) and sundarajaswamy.
While coming out from the temple we saw the utsavamoorthy of certian devi which was very good statue.I was very happy to see her.

Next we started our journey towards kalahasti from padmavathi amma's place,Chennai is located only 123 km from that place.

My Kalahasti TRIP

I visited kalahasti temple with my parents in the first week of january. This was my mom's wish to visit that temple. It is a famous and one of the oldest Shiva temple of  south India.
The temple is located in srikalahasti - a holy town near Tirupati in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This was very advantageous for us.This is  because we got one nice opportunity to visit the TIRUPATI TEMPLE-Temple of Lord Venkateshwara-otherwise we might not visited Lord Venkateshwara.
We started our journey from our place KOTA-in UDUPI district of state Karnataka. We made our own vehicle-maruti omni of our family friend and started form home on 04/01/2011 at 3.00pm.We prayed lord Anjaneya in saligrama for our safe and secure journey.Since kalahasti was on the to TIRUPATI,we decided to visit lord Venkateshwara before our final destiny. Our route from Kota was kota-bramhavara-hebri-teerthalli-shimoga-arseekere-tipatur-tumkur-bangalore-chittoor-tirupati.We were able to reach tirpati by 6.30am.
Tirumala Venkateswara Temple  is a famous Hindu temple of Lord Vishnu in the form of Lord Venkateswara located in the hill town Tirumala, near Tirupati in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is about 200 kilometers from Bangalore. The temple is situated on Venkatadri, one of the seven hills of Tirumala, and hence is also known as the Temple of Seven Hills. We know that Lord Venkateswara, is also known by other names - Balaji, Vishnu, Govinda and Srinivasa.
After the bath in pushkarini of Tirumala,we went to see lord Venkateshwara.

Darshan and queue system in TIRUMALA

There are two major kinds of Darshan (meaning "a glimpse of the Lord") at the temple. The first one being Dharma Darshanam - free darshan, which on average takes about 10 hours from the time you enter the Queue.During a high season (festivals, holidays, weekends and special occasions) Dharma darshanam can take as long as a whole day, while sometimes during low seasons it might take only an hour and can be quicker than any paid darshan. The second major type Sheegra darshan -      costs Rs 300 and takes only 0.45 - 1.5 hrs for darshan. There are also                special queues for senior citizens (above 75 years old), Non-Resident Indians, and for people with children (below 3 years). One other person is usually allowed to accompany the senior or the child to assist them in the darshan line.
Even though we went through Sheegra darshan - costs Rs 300-we had to stand in queue about 2.5hours to see lord venkateswara.
